Regarding customs duties on items shipped to the US
US President Donald Trump issued an executive order abolishing the de minimis
tax-free rule for small-value imports.
As a result, when items are imported from Japan to the US, a 15% tax is levied
on the invoice amount.
However, since the declared value of packages shipped from our store to the US
is set at a maximum of $100 per shipment, customers are expected to pay a maximum
of $15 in customs duties.
However, in the case of knives, the declared value is estimated at $20,
so the customs duty is expected to be $20 x 15% = $3.00
Please note that if your item is shipped via DHL, you will be able to pay the tax by
credit card or other means prior to delivery.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
