Echizen-no-Kuni Shimosaka Kanehiro was a swordsmith of the Shimosaka
school who was active in Echizen Province (present-day Fukui Prefecture)
from the early Edo period through the Genroku era (mid-Edo period).

Name: Echizen-no-Kuni Shimosaka Kanehiro

Period: Early Edo period to Genroku era (circa 1680–1688)

School: Echizen Shimosaka School (derived from the Mino-Seki tradition;
records also indicate that he later traveled to Edo to forge swords)
