Please add it to your kitchen knife collection. We waited a year for this work to be delivered.
It is a work of traditional craftsman Yoshikazu Ikeda.
His products are very difficult to find, even in Japan.
Also this knife was made full mirror finishing with
Namiukashi (Wave floating) hamon.
*It looks rainbow-colored because it is coated with rust-proof liquid vinyl.
We ship with liquid that can easily wipe off this rust inhibitor.
Or, if you would like to wipe at our shop before shipping, please state in
the comment on the checkout page that you want to wipe.
Instead, we ship with oil that prevents rust.
During quenching, a wave-like pattern appears by placing mud on the knife. It is called a Hamon in Japanese.
The light is adjusted at the time of shooting so that Hamon can be seen. Actual surface is mirror.
This image is a representative image of this product. In the actual product, the appearance of HAMON is slightly different for each product. Please check the product page for details on the actual size.
